Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to Al-Adalah: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat are required to comply with the following guidelines:

General Requirements

  1. The submitted manuscript must be an original work resulting from community service activities. It must not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication in any other journal or publication.

  2. Manuscripts may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English using clear, concise, and academically appropriate language.

  3. Manuscripts should be prepared using the official journal template provided by the Editorial Board.

  4. The manuscript should be between 7–15 pages, including tables, figures, and references.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized in the following order:

  • Title

  • Author(s)' Name(s)

  • Affiliation(s)

  • Corresponding Author's Email

  • Abstract

  • Keywords

  • Introduction

  • Methods

  • Results and Discussion

  • Conclusion

  • Acknowledgements (optional)

  • References

Title

  • The title should clearly reflect the content of the manuscript.

  • It should be concise, informative, and contain no more than 15 words.

  • Avoid abbreviations whenever possible.

Author Information

  • Authors should provide their full names without academic titles.

  • Each author's institutional affiliation and email address must be included.

  • The corresponding author should be clearly identified.

Abstract

  • The abstract must be written in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

  • It should contain 150–250 words in a single paragraph.

  • The abstract should briefly describe the background, objectives, methods, implementation, results, and conclusions.

  • Avoid citations, tables, figures, and undefined abbreviations.

Keywords

  • Provide 3–5 keywords that accurately represent the manuscript.

  • Keywords should be separated by semicolons (;).

References

  • At least 70% of the references should come from reputable international journals or nationally accredited journals.

  • References should preferably have been published within the last ten years.

  • All references should be accessible online and published by credible academic publishers.

  • Authors are encouraged to cite relevant articles previously published in Al-Adalah: Journal of Community Service whenever appropriate.

  • References must follow the APA (7th Edition) citation style.

Citation Management

Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as:

  • Mendeley

  • Zotero

  • EndNote

  • Reference Manager

Similarity Check

  • Every submitted manuscript will undergo plagiarism screening using similarity detection software.

  • The similarity index must not exceed 25%, excluding bibliography, quotations, and commonly used phrases.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo:

  • Initial editorial screening.

  • Double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.

  • Editorial revision (if required).

  • Final editorial decision.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to edit the manuscript for clarity, grammar, formatting, and journal style without altering its scientific content.

Ethical Statement

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • the manuscript is original;

  • all authors have approved the final version;

  • data presented are authentic;

  • proper acknowledgment has been given to all cited works; and

  • there are no conflicts of interest that may influence the publication.

Failure to comply with these ethical standards may result in rejection or retraction of the manuscript.
